About QR Code Generator
QR Code Generator turns a URL, phone number, WiFi credentials, contact card, or any block of text into a scannable QR code β the black-and-white grid you point your phone camera at to open something instantly. Nine content types are supported, each with the correct QR encoding format so scanners know exactly what to do.
Beyond basic generation, this tool gives you full styling control: custom foreground and background colors, quiet-zone margin, error-correction level, three module (dot) styles, and an optional center logo overlay. Download the final code as a pixel-perfect PNG for print, an SVG for lossless vector use, or copy it straight to your clipboard.
100% client-side: QR codes are generated in your browser. No API calls, no rate limits, no signup, and none of your data ever touches our servers β safe for confidential WiFi passwords, private URLs, or personal contact info.
How to use QR Code Generator
Pick a content type
URL for a webpage, WiFi for a guest network, vCard for a business card β each uses the right underlying format so scanners recognize it.
Fill in the data
The preview updates as you type. If the code turns messy or invalid, tweak content or bump the size.
Style it
Choose colors, size, margin. If you're adding a logo, switch error correction to H so the code stays scannable.
Download or copy
PNG for print, SVG for design apps, or copy to clipboard for a Slack/email paste.
Key Features
9 content types
URL β any http/https link. Text β plain text up to ~2900 characters. Email β pre-fills the mail app with recipient, subject, body. Phone β dialer with number ready. SMS β messaging app with number + draft message. WiFi β joins the network without typing the password. vCard β saves to Contacts. Location β opens in Maps. Event β adds to Calendar.
Custom colors
Foreground + background color pickers with hex inputs. Keep contrast strong β light foregrounds on light backgrounds don't scan reliably. Our tool warns you when contrast dips below the safe threshold.
Logo overlay
Upload a PNG, SVG, or JPG (β€ 2 MB) β it sits in the center of the QR code. Combined with error-correction level H, the code still scans reliably with up to 30% of it obscured by your logo.
4 error-correction levels
L (7%) β smallest code, no logo. M (15%) β default balance. Q (25%) β light logos or damage tolerance. H (30%) β heavy logo overlays, printed codes that might get scuffed.
3 module styles
Square β classic pixels, most compatible. Rounded β softer look. Dots β modern circular modules. All three remain scannable on any camera.
PNG + SVG export
PNG at any size up to 1024Γ1024 for print, packaging, or web. SVG for lossless scaling β perfect for signage, banners, or vector-editing in Illustrator/Figma.
Copy to clipboard + Print
Copy the rendered image straight to your clipboard for pasting into Slack, docs, or presentations. Print button opens a clean full-page print dialog.

Security & Privacy
- 100% client-side: the QR encoder runs in your browser via a self-hosted JavaScript library. No content, WiFi password, or contact info ever leaves your device.
- Works offline: once the page loads, disconnect and it still works.
- No logging of content: what you encode is never seen or stored by us.
- Safe for confidential data: WiFi passwords, private URLs, personal contact cards β all stay local.
- Watch out on the scan side: QR codes can hide malicious URLs. Always preview the destination before opening. Our tool only creates codes β the risk is on the reader's side.
- Printed codes are permanent: if the QR encodes a URL you might change later, use a redirect / short-URL service so you don't have to reprint.
